We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a MERRY CHRISTMASSSS!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! What are you all doin today? We just back from my grandparents house for a brunch - but I wanted to tell you a Christmas story. It is true - but I wanted to show off about what I got - LOL JK!

This year we all drew names - and I got to give Hannah something. Sarah got me, and so here is what I got from her.......

A cute purse

3 new earrings

Adventures in
Odyssey album 35

2 new gloves

Mom made me a new jumper....

I got in my stocking.....

Marie Madeline Route 66 skirt pattern

Polar Express

Reletives presents.....
Toe socks - and I really did flip it!

A new scarf!
I also got 2 gift cards to Khols

And the story,

Imagine this. Christmas Eve and you are at your Grandparents house - it is time to open presents! Your grandpa hands you over a small box. Naturally you open it, and it is a jewlery box. Of course you know that it is probably some piece of jewlery to add to your already full jewlery box. When you open the box inside is and old key - wierd as I can't drive and this is NOT a car key. What could it go to, maybe a piano, maybe to your door, maybe to....... As you are getting suggestions from family members (AKA Cash box, locket, diary, etc.) Your dad and grandpa slip out of the room. Now only do you notice that they are gone and they come walking in the room with what? A HOPE CHEST FOR YOU!!!! A Cedar Hope Chest - the top item on your Wish List from "Santa"! Now what do you think, yes MUCH BETTER than a money box indeed!

Merry Christmas,
Anne

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snooow!

Well the weather outside is frightful, but Anne is enjoying her crocheting. As long I have the yarn, let it rain, let it rain, let it RAIIIIN!!!!!

Do you like? I know I am soo ingenius! But it is sooo true, I have been crocheting like crazy! I have a blanket in 'the working process', but it has taken a back seat for a while as I have started making the family scarfs. I have orders for Sarah and George (even though he doesn't care *smile*) I have also been practicing my Christmas Carols, as my loving father asked me to play every week for advent at our church. Any way, the first scarf that I did was for Abby

and then Lindsay put in her order

and then Sarah hers, but I am still waiting for her yarn

and then Hannahs,

Our pasters wife gave me a skein and here is mine

I also decided George would need one in this color.....

and today we went to Joanns and I got these two for myself for a scarf also!

My dear mother kindly put in her order of these dishclothes, and here I kindly bought the green!

I also decieded that before/after the new year my mother could, should, and would teach me to knit. Not thinking about how she JUST learned that art - I did ask! She showed me after the youtube video didn't help. I am attempting a scarf for myself - YIPPEE!!! I will have some pictures when I am clicking along! HEHE

What have you been doing in the yarn department? LOL!

Love,

Anne

An Old Fashioned Christmas (Sewing)

Its week two, and I am stumped, why? Well the one sewing project I had, the girl that I sending it too reads my posts!!!! So I thought I would show you some thing that I made last year for my littl sis Abbster doodles - AKA Abby! (that is her nick name by the way)

Photobucket

All that I did was cut out a not so evenly cut rectangle, added a ruffle to the bottom, and put bias tape on the top and as the ties. You really just have to sew on the ruffle, hem the fabric, and sew up the one side of the tie to the other side!

Sorry Grace it took so long to get this up - but like I said, I have only done one sewing project and she will be reading.

An old fashioned Christmas (paper) How to make your own greeting cards

I am joining in over at Grace's with her old fashioned Christmas (and Grace, I am sorry for not posting this sooner, but I wanted to wait til my give a way was over!)

As the title says I am going to be showing how to make greeting/ Christmas cards for the holiday season! You will need:

rubber stamps, found at most craft stores

Stamping pads

scrapbooking pens

Plenty of card stock

cordinating scrapbooking colored paper

Sracpbooking stickers/Picture safe glue

Wipe to wipe of your stamps (baby wipes work the best *smile*)

Something to cut your card stock in half, and it has to cut it strait

Extra small card stock peices to put your stamps on

What I did first was cut my card stock in half, and fold it in hald agian. Make sure you decide what way you want you card to stand.

Next I cut my extra card stock and my scrapbooking paper to the size I want and stamp on the stamp that I have matched it with

After you have stuck that on your card, you can put a stamp on the inside, write a sweet little note, or write/stamp a saying or song lyrics on the front. Anyway you choose, it will look good!

I flipped my card over and wrote in a black Scrapbooking pen a sweet little saying (I used these ' Handcrafted with love by', 'Lovingly hand made by' ETC. you can even make up your own!) And you can stamp a matching stamp over the saying! There now you have a card to send some one special (or you can use it on a gift)!

Just remember that you can make it your own, it doesn't have to follow the same one that I did, make it fun and make it, well OLD FASHIONED!!!!
